Meet Dr. Elise Tigani Endres

The Professional Side
Dr. Elise Tigani Endres is a board-certified orthodontic specialist and is a
diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University where she double majored in Psychology and Biology while participating on the NCAA Division I Track and Field team for all 4 years. She was also inducted into Sigma Xi, an honorary organization dedicated to the encouragement of scientific research.
Dr. Tigani Endres then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, Dr. Tigani was inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontics Honor Society, received the Dean’s Research Award for contributing over 300+ hours of research, the Dean’s Award for Community Service for having volunteered over 200+ hours with children with disabilities and those who are underserved in the Baltimore region, the President’s Student Leadership Institute Certificate, and a certificate in Dental Public Health. She also received an award from the American Association of Orthodontists for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex.
Dr. Tigani then completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Maryland where she earned a certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters’s in Biomedical Sciences. During her residency, she was appointed by her program director to serve as the only postgraduate resident on the Judicial Board for the entire Dental School and all the Post Graduate Programs, and was then asked to continue her involvement during her 3rd year as Student Co-Chair by the Faculty Co-Chair himself.
Dr. Tigani Endres has an abundant amount of research experience and several publications associated with the ADA Foundation at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the Department of Neuroscience and Orthodontics at the University of Maryland, a 3M Pilot Study Regarding Invisalign Technology, American Association of Orthodontists, and the University of Maryland Department of Orthodontics. Dr. Tigani’s professional affiliations include the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists (MSSO), the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (MASO), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists (GWAWD).
Dr. Tigani Endres is one of 9 dentists in her family and even married another dentist. She currently resides with her husband in Maryland, along with their son, Graham, and three dogs, Tucker, Lily, and Bo. Outside of the office, Dr. Tigani Endres and her husband enjoy skiing out West, relaxing on the beach with their families, or going on walks with their dogs.
The Personal Side
Hello! My name is Elise. I grew up in Bethesda, MD, lived in the Bronx, NY for college, and have lived in Baltimore, MD for the last 6 years during dental school and orthodontic residency. I am proud and humbled to be a part of a large family of dentists, and have worked alongside my father, Dr. Tigani, since I was 16 years old. To say I am excited to finally join my role model in practice would be an understatement! I met Dr. Endres while in dental school, and could not be luckier to also practice alongside my husband (he is secretly my role model as well but don’t tell him that)!
I think it’s safe to say I love spending time with my family whether it’s at home or at work. Because of such a strong family foundation, I also consider all my patients family as well. There is nothing I enjoy more than being able to develop relationships with my patients while being able to play a role in their oral health care. You can always count on me to make it a top priority to help you feel as comfortable as possible and (try) to make you laugh while addressing all your dental needs. When I’m out of the office, you can find me trying to stop my crazy pups, Tucker and Lily, from playing tug of war, and escaping to the beach or the slopes!
